financial-plan-in-a-day
One of the recurring issue entrepreneurs and freelancers face is a limited knowledge of financial basics and concepts. They therefore cannot grasp the potential of their great idea or project, establish a workable financial plan nor be in a leading role in the valuations discussions when looking for external funds.
Stop being that entrepreneur or freelancer that struggles with his/her financial plan due to a lack of knowledge of the underlying financial basics and concepts! Get those financial plan figures into a provided template, in a realistic, workable and sound way.
The course is set up in a practical and interactive way, in which you will work out your own financial plan for a real or imaginary project in a 3 to 5 year projection. You have a choice of working with a basic financial plan template developed by Martin or the detailed impulse.brussels template.

What’s in the agenda?

  • Overview of accounting building blocks: assets, liabilities, profit & loss;
  • Possible revenues streams;
  • Costs benchmarking;
  • The importance of cash!
  • 2 key SaaS indicators: CAC & LTV;
  • Chicken and egg problem with platform start-ups;
  • Brief introduction to company valuation techniques;
  • Tons of real-life examples (yours!) and practical advice.

At the end of the day you will walk out with your own financial plan for your project. Furthermore, you will have obtained a good part of the required knowledge to additionally develop your plan yourself afterwards and to better work with accountants and financers.

Who is it for?

This practical workshop is aimed at freelancers, tech and web start-ups, and creative individuals. It will help you to understand the main financial basics, learn how to apply them for your own financial projections and thereby establish your own workable financial plan.
